Ahrefs group buy — the Advanced plan for $25 a month
Ahrefs is the SEO industry's default answer to three questions: who links to this site, what is it ranking for, and what is my competitor doing that I'm not. It's also priced for agencies. The cheapest paid plan is $129 a month, the Advanced plan is $449, and Ahrefs state plainly on their pricing page that they never run discounts.
That's the problem this page solves. Through GroupbuySEO you get the Advanced plan — not the entry tier — for $25 a month.
That is 94% off the list price of the exact plan you're using.
Below: what you actually get, what the limits are, and how to tell an honest group-buy provider from one that will take your money and hand you a dead login.
What Ahrefs actually does
Four tools account for most of why people pay for it.
- Site Explorer — Paste any domain and see its backlinks, its organic keywords, which pages earn its traffic, and how that has moved over time. This is the competitor-research workhorse: it's how you find out that a rival ranks for 1,193 keywords while you rank for 26.
- Keywords Explorer — Search volume, keyword difficulty, clicks-per-search and SERP history for a term, plus the related terms and questions around it. It answers “is this worth writing about” before you write.
- Site Audit — Crawls your site and reports what's technically broken: redirect chains, missing canonicals, thin pages, orphaned URLs, broken internal links.
- Rank Tracker — Records your positions for a keyword list over time, with your competitors alongside, so you can see whether the work moved anything.
There's more — Content Explorer, Batch Analysis, Link Intersect, the SERP tools — but those four are what people open daily.
What Ahrefs costs if you buy it directly

| Plan | Price | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29/mo | Limited — competitor lookups only |
| Lite | $129/mo | 5 projects, 750 tracked keywords, 6 months history |
| Standard | $249/mo | 20 projects, 2,000 keywords, 2 years history |
| Advanced | $449/mo | 50 projects, 5,000 keywords, 5 years history |
| Enterprise | $1,499/mo | Annual commitment |
Ahrefs' own FAQ: “We never run discounts.” There is no student rate, no annual deal that changes the picture, no coupon. For a freelancer or a small agency, the Advanced plan is $5,388 a year before you have done any work — and even the entry Lite tier is $1,548.
What you get through GroupbuySEO
$25/month on its own, or included in our Advanced ($30/mo) and Ultimate ($49/mo) alongside 88 other tools.
You are on Ahrefs' Advanced tier ($449/mo list), which means:
| Advanced tier | |
|---|---|
| Projects | 50 |
| Tracked keywords | 5,000 |
| Historical data | 5 years |
| Crawl credits | 1,500,000/mo |
| Max rows per report | 75,000 |
| Batch Analysis | 1,000 URLs per report |
| Report credits | Unlimited |
Most group-buy providers quietly run the $129 Lite tier and don't say so. Lite gives you 750 tracked keywords and 6 months of history — a fifth of the keywords and a tenth of the history.
- Your own login. You sign in at my.groupbuyseo.org and reach Ahrefs from your dashboard. You are not handed a shared username and password, and other users cannot see your projects, exports or search history.
- Instant activation the moment payment confirms.
- Daily fair-use limits, published: 1,000 API requests and 10,000 export rows per day. We publish these because a provider that won't tell you its limits is hiding them.
- Monitoring and 24/7 support — if the tool goes down you'll usually see it on our status page before you hit it.
- Cancel any month. No contract.
What it is not: This is shared access to a paid Ahrefs account, not your own Ahrefs subscription. You cannot use it for Ahrefs' API from your own scripts, you cannot verify site ownership for your domains, and your projects live in a shared workspace. If you need those, buy directly from Ahrefs — that's the honest answer.
How to judge any group-buy provider
The group-buy market has good operators and outright scams, and they look identical from the outside. Seven things to check — of anyone, including us.
- How is your access isolated? If you're given one username and password that everyone shares, your work is visible to strangers and the account will get locked for concurrent logins. You want a personal login to the provider's own dashboard.
- Which tier are they actually reselling? “Full Ahrefs access” usually means the $129 Lite plan. Ask which tier, and check the tracked-keyword and history numbers against Ahrefs' own pricing page. We run Advanced.
- Are the limits published? Every group-buy account has daily caps. A provider who won't state them before you pay will let you find out by hitting them.
- What happens when it breaks? Shared accounts do get suspended. Ask what the response time is and whether there's a status page you can check without opening a ticket.
- Can you pay by a method you can reverse? Crypto-only is a signal. Cards, UPI and net banking give you recourse.
- Is there a refund policy in writing? Not a promise in a chat window.
- Are the reviews on a platform they don't control? Testimonials on a provider's own homepage cost nothing to write.
Ahrefs alternatives — and why you don't have to choose
People shopping for Ahrefs almost always compare it against a few others before paying. The useful part: every one of these is in the same GroupbuySEO bundle, so you can try Ahrefs and its closest rivals for one price instead of subscribing to each.
- Semrush the other end of the SEO-suite market — stronger on keyword and PPC data where Ahrefs leads on backlinks.
- Moz Pro a seo-category tool people cross-shop with Ahrefs, included in the same bundle.
- Mangools a seo-category tool people cross-shop with Ahrefs, included in the same bundle.
- Serpstat a keyword-category tool people cross-shop with Ahrefs, included in the same bundle.
That's the real answer to “Ahrefs alternative” — you don't pick one and hope. On the Ultimate plan you get Ahrefs and the tools above together, and switch between them as the job changes.
What our customers actually say
We're on Trustpilot at 4.1 out of 5 from 10 reviews. See the profile.
Ten reviews is not many, and we'd rather say so than round it up. For comparison, the largest competitor in this market sits at 3.6 from 125 reviews. We have fewer people talking about us and a better score; judge that however you like, but both numbers are public and neither is ours to edit.
“A total lifesaver for freelance SEOs. I've been doing freelance SEO for a while now, and paying full price for every single marketing tool was basically destroying my profit margins. But skipping them isn't an option either — my results would be terrible without proper competitor analysis and semantic core research for landing pages. I stumbled upon GroupbuySEO and it honestly saved my budget. I'm paying about 10 times less than I would if I bought all these subscriptions separately. The uptime is surprisingly solid for a group buy service. If you work on your own and don't have a massive agency budget to burn, this is exactly what you need.”
